The Audiophiles gets a facelift
I’ve upgraded to WordPress 2.7 and changed to a new theme. I think it’s much cleaner looking now; I hope you enjoy it. (It won’t hurt to clear your browser’s cache; some images have been resized to better fit the new layout.)
This is the first upgrade I’ve run since I first installed WordPress 2.1, which means there are some nice new features. Most of it is in the back-end, but there are some additions that the user will notice, as well.
For instance, each post now has categories AND tags associated with it. Clicking on any category or tag will show you a list of all posts associated with that category/tag. Toward the bottom of the right sidebar, you’ll also find a category search tool and a new animated tag cloud, which gives you a visual depiction of the frequency and use of tags. Each term is clickable, as well.
Finally, the comments are now threaded (meaning you can comment on a comment) and include gravatars (global avatars). Just create a free account here, and then when you use your email address when leaving a comment, your image is automatically associated with your comment.
Here’s an example of what comments now look like. See how at the bottom you can subscribe to the comment feed, so you don’t have to check back for new comments.
and here is a nested comment, which is just a reply to a previous comment, rather than a new response.
Looks terrific -
